No, the SCORKL does not float. 

The SCORKL is negatively buoyant and will sink so do not let it fall out of your mouth during a dive or let go of it if resting on the surface. To secure your SCORKL to yourself during a dive, use a retractor. Check out the SCORKL retractor.
