It takes around 10 pumps per breath that you want to take from the SCORKL. The cylinder holds ~70 breaths when filled to the highest pressure (200 bar / 3,000 psi) so pumping for ~10 minutes will get you there. The correct technique is to pump to the full extent of the up and down strokes, slowly and steadily, using your bodyweight rather than trying to 'muscle' it.
Each SCORKL also comes with a SCUBA tank refill adapter, and Dive Compressor refill adapter, (included for free) for fast, easy refills.
